Service Terms

1. Introduction

These Service Terms govern all bookings and related arrangements made with Devon Stable Care Collective (“the Collective”, “we”, “our”). By requesting or using our services, you agree to these terms in full.

3. Bookings and Payment

  • All services are subject to availability and confirmed only after written or emailed acceptance.
  • Payment terms are agreed individually; standard payment is due upon completion of the booked service unless otherwise specified.
  • Invoices are issued in GBP and may be paid by bank transfer or approved digital method.

4. Cancellations

  • Cancellations with more than 48 hours’ notice will not incur a fee.
  • Cancellations within 48 hours may be charged at 50 % of the booked service price to cover reserved time and preparation costs.
  • In the event of extreme weather or health advice restricting movement, charges are waived at our discretion.

5. Responsibilities

We provide routine horse-care services according to written plans agreed with each client. Owners remain legally responsible for ensuring animals are vaccinated, insured and fit for the arranged level of work. The Collective maintains appropriate public liability cover.

6. Access and Safety

Visitors must follow yard signage and wear suitable footwear. Children under 16 must be supervised at all times. We reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone acting unsafely or causing distress to animals or staff.

7. Liability

While every reasonable precaution is taken for safety, equestrian activities involve inherent risk. The Collective is not liable for injuries or losses arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control. This does not limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or any statutory rights under English law.

8. Data and Communication

Personal information collected in the course of service delivery is processed in accordance with our Privacy Brief. Routine communication may occur by email, phone or messaging platforms agreed with you.

9. Changes to Services

We may adjust schedules or assign staff where necessary to maintain animal welfare and continuity of care. Significant changes will be discussed with you in advance whenever possible.

10. Termination

Either party may end the agreement with reasonable notice if services are no longer required or conditions cannot be met. Any outstanding fees remain payable for work already completed.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

12. Updates

We may revise these Service Terms occasionally to reflect changes in law or practice. The latest version will always be available on this page and takes effect from the date of publication.
